Women from around the globe will be gathering together to celebrate Spring on Thursday, March 20, 2008, at the Spring Market provided by Women Business Owners (WBO).

WBO Event Director, Anita Bruton says, “Our members from around the world will be celebrating spring with at this annual event. Vendors will be promoting their products and services via the Internet. This is an online event and all that is needed to attend is a computer and a keyboard.” The upcoming convention offers attendees an opportunity to meet other women business owners and to chat with them to learn more about their businesses and make some sales in the process.

When asked why WBO is providing this online event for their members and the public, Bruton responded, “An important part of building your business is in networking. At the Spring Market, vendors will be focusing on promoting their businesses, not only to share their information with other members but to promote referrals as well. The Internet makes business possible anywhere and this is a great opportunity for our vendors to promote globally. ..

Boys and Girls Country supports local families in crisis, on a daily basis.

Boys and Girls Country

Located in Hockley, Texas, Boys and Girls Country, has literally “raised” over 1, 200 local children since opening their doors in 1971.

Boys and Girls Country is a Christian Home providing children from families in crisis with love and security, a sense of self worth, as well as opportunities to live a successful life. In addition to the 88 children who live on campus, Boys and Girls Country supports 60 other young adults who have graduated and continue to participate via the College and Career program.

Like every home, Boys and Girls Country clothes, feeds, educates, loves, and finances the everyday existence of their family of up to 88 children. Their pantries need food, and their closets need clothing and shoes. Volunteers provide financial support for college or trade school, a home during college breaks or summer—most importantly parental guidance all along their journey until they land a first job. Visit http://www.boysandgirlscountry.org to learn more and to identify ways you can help!
