Lisa A. Fredette is looking for speakers for her Passionate Growth Teleseminar Series. This series runs every quarter. The next one will be starting in February 2008.

You can check out the topics and guest speakers of the current teleseminar by going to http://lisafredette.com/passionategrowth.htm

She needs speakers who can talk on topics that support women who are dealing with the stress of divorce.

She currently has one person on board who will talk about the financial aspect.

Some other topics might be:

Maybe someone who specializes in organizing/balancing your life.

Maybe someone who can talk on the effects of stress on the body.

Maybe someone who can talk about finding a home, or a new job, or getting back into the work force after being a SAHM, dressing for success, or how to write a resume, etc.

Maybe someone who can discuss parenting skills - particularly the importance of them during times of stress.

These are just some thoughts - if anyone has suggestions or specialities that support the target audience she would love to hear about them.

Moms Working for the Kingdom chooses a different woman each week to be spotlighted in an interview. These women allow us to take a peek into their hearts and share with us Woman 2 Woman their stories. They graciously share with hopes of inspiring other women to strive toward reaching their goals in life and to hold on to family, friends, and their faith. I encourage you to stop by each week and take a peek along with us into the extraordinary lives of these women of God as they share their testimonies. So sit back relax and grab a cup of tea and be blessed by the stories these woman of faith have shared.

As Moms Working for the Kingdom of God continues to week by week chose a Ryze business woman to interview, let me introduce to you this week’s candidate.

This special woman of God is a devoted mother of 2 who makes a living as a Virtual Assistant. She is my sister in Christ and a dear friend, Gazelle Simmons.

Gazelle has, with God’s help, overcome many storms in her life. In January 2005, she sorrowfully lost her parents, seven months later in August 2005 her home was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. Facing homelessness, she prayed and looked to the Lord for direction. Amazing things followed.

There was a woman she met at her daughter’s school who gave her school supplies, dishes, food and a foldaway bed. There was the day she opened her door to find food sitting on it. It still amazes her just how well the Lord took care of her and her daughters.

Sometime later Gazelle survived a painful time in her marriage following on the heels of Katrina’s devastation. Her husband who while being clothed and housed by the Navy refused to pay support for her and the girls.

One painful circumstance after another kept manifesting between her and her spouse until Gazelle just couldn’t take the neglect from him emotionally and financially anymore and she asked for a separation and later divorce.

It has only been by the grace of God that she and her girls are not homeless, hungry and unclothed. Just when she thought she couldn’t make it, God opened a door, moved obstacles, and reminded her that He was still God.

Gazelle wants you to know there is someone who sticks closer than a friend, who sees your tears and feels your heartbreak, headaches, and sorrows. His name is Jesus, just call on Him. His word says He will never leave nor forsake us. Now grab yourself a cup of Java, sit back, relax, and enjoy another extraordinary interview as we talk further with this brave woman of God, Ms. Gazelle Simmons.

So sit back relax and grab a cup of tea and be blessed by the stories these woman of faith have shared.

The woman of God that Moms Working for the Kingdom has had the pleasure to interview this week is a wife, mother of 4, a writer, a graphic designer, and also my friend. After working for 13 consecutive years in corporate America and then being laid off she was inspired to go into business for herself. God had blessed her abundantly with typing and computer skills so she knew she was capable of running her own business. Her name is Cynthia G. Boyer and she is the founder of Moms in Slippers. Her goal is to help other women who also want to be WAHMS start their own secretarial business.

Through her Magic Fingers Typing Services she will teach you how to have your own successful typing business with little or no money. Cynthia said when she started her own secretarial business she didn’t have any money, but she had a computer, typing paper, and a Dictaphone machine, that she borrowed from an ex-coworker, and a telephone. When she first started out she ran into a lot of scams so she knew having her own secretarial business truly meant working for herself. She wanted to be her own boss which meant doing things her way and on her own time schedule, and most importantly not having to answer to anyone else. She is doing just that with her Typing Service. She says the rewards and benefits are fantastic. She loves working in the comforts of home. If your ready to embark on being a WAHM with your own typing business she is the one that can help you. I encourage you to visit Cynthia’s website and find out more about her services @ www.momsinslippers.com

Now without further ado sit back, relax, and enjoy the interview with this weeks chosen women of faith, Cynthia G. Boyer……

A question about “going green” with your business prompted this column, it’s to offer up a few other ways to go “green”!!

    1. Sell products made of recycled/post consumer content.

    2. Use compact fluorescent lighting (CFL light bulbs) throughout your business, instead of incandescent light bulbs, reducing your electric bill. Residential lighting constitutes 20 percent of your electric bill.

For the entire article go to Green Business Column- Save Money on Your Light Bill- posted 03/08/07.

    3. Use non-aerosol cleaning products throughout your business, aerosols emit CFCs that kill the ozone layer. For more information on CFC’s negative effects on the ozone, go to: http://www.epa.gov/docs/ozone.

    4. Install solar powered attic vent fans in your attic to reduce the temperatures in summertime and keep your attic dry in the wintertime. By keeping the temperatures lower you will use less air conditioning, reducing your electric bill.

For the entire article go to Green Business- Summer Solar Tips- posted 07/12/07.

    5. Get involved politically by writing letters to your congressperson on environmental issues. To keep abreast of new legislation, you can sign up to stay informed through free newsletters from various organizations.

For the entire article go to Green Business- Legal Briefs- posted 09/27/07.

    6. Buy products that are in minimal packaging, avoid excess packaging and make sure that the package is recyclable.

For the entire article go to Green Business- How To Read Labels- posted 10/04/07.

    7. Conserve water by fixing any leaky faucets in the building, leaking faucets can cause precious water to be wasted and drive up your water bill.

For the entire article go to Green Business- Water Conservation- posted 08/01/07.

    8. Buy recycled office products, or purchase supplies from an environmentally friendly company like Real Goods, located at: http://www.gaiam.com.

    9. When replacing the roof, consider installing a roofing material that doubles as a generator of electrical power. You can get a three-for-one value for your money, not only generating power and protecting your home with that roof, but the resale value of your home will increase as well.

For the entire article go to Green Business- Solar Industry Becomes Flexible- posted 09/06/07.

    10. Plant trees on your property, they help clean the greenhouse gases out of the air.

    11. When purchasing your next vehicle, perhaps you’ll consider purchasing a hybrid vehicle; one that uses a gas engine and an electrical motor, thereby reducing your gas consumption considerably.

For the entire article go to Green Business- A Hybrid Car Saves You Money- posted
    06/14/07.

    12. Heat water with passive solar panels on the roof, and you can save money on your heating bill using the clean, renewable energy of the sun. For more information, go to:
http://www.renewableenergyaccess.com, and read the article on “Energy Efficient Homes”.

    13. Recycling is key, recycle all household glass, plastic, metal and paper. For the entire article go to Green Business- Recycling- posted 05/24/07.

Remember to properly dispose of toxic trash like; batteries, old paint cans, paint thinner cans and old computer components, to name a few.

For the entire article go to Green Business- Toxic Trash- posted 07/19/07.

There are many ways to participate in a Green Business; the main thing to remember is to…START TODAY!!!
